Private Jet Charter to US Open tennis championship

Skip the gridlock and the terminal lines. Charter a private jet into Teterboro, Westchester or JFK, step onto the ramp, and be courtside in Flushing Meadows on your schedule. Same-day round trips, no membership, 24/7 support.

Why charter

The smart way to attend the US Open

The final Grand Slam of the season draws hundreds of thousands of fans to Queens over two weeks each late August into September. Commercial travel into New York during that window means crowded terminals, traffic into Flushing Meadows, and a return flight you have to leave the match early to catch. A private charter removes all of that.

  • Beat the congestion. Arrive at a private FBO, clear the ramp in minutes, and avoid the commercial terminal crush that peaks during tournament week.
  • Own your schedule. Depart when you want, arrive a few hours before play, and leave right after the final point. No fixed return time to race for.
  • Stay until the last point. A night session or a five-set final can run long. With your own aircraft on the ramp, you watch it to the end and fly home when you are ready.
  • Travel as a group. Bring the family, clients or a corporate box party in one cabin, with room for luggage, catering and a productive cabin in between.

Airports & FBOs

Best airports for the US Open

The USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center sits in Flushing Meadows, Queens. There is no general-aviation field at the venue, so the right choice balances aircraft size, FBO availability and drive time. During the tournament, ramp and parking space fills fast at every option below.

Teterboro (TEB)

The premier New York business-aviation airport, just across the Hudson in New Jersey. Multiple full-service FBOs, fast handling and a wide range of aircraft. Expect a 45-minute to one-hour-plus drive to Flushing Meadows depending on traffic. Books out early during tournament week.

Westchester County (HPN)

In White Plains, north of the city, with excellent FBOs and easier ramp logistics than the closer-in fields. A good choice for clients staying in Westchester or Connecticut. Note HPN has operating restrictions and a curfew, so we confirm slot and timing details when we quote.

John F. Kennedy (JFK)

Geographically the closest major airport to Flushing Meadows and well suited to heavy jets and international arrivals. JFK is busy and slot-controlled, so timing must be planned and ramp space reserved early. We use it when aircraft size or an overseas leg makes it the right call.

Aircraft

Cabin options to fit your party

From a couple slipping in for an afternoon session to a corporate box of a dozen, we match the cabin to your group size, luggage and range. Pricing depends on aircraft category, distance, repositioning and how early you book, not on a fixed fare, so we never quote a number we cannot stand behind.

Light jets

Four to six passengers. Efficient for short hops from the Northeast, mid-Atlantic or New England. Ideal for a couple or small group flying in for a single day of play.

Midsize & super-midsize

Seven to nine passengers with a stand-up cabin and more luggage room. The sweet spot for families and small client groups coming from farther afield with longer range.

Heavy & large-cabin

Nine to fourteen-plus passengers, transcontinental and international range, full galley and a private lavatory. Built for a corporate box party or a large group arriving in style.

New York at dusk before a private charter to the US Open

Book early, fly easy

The US Open runs over roughly two weeks in late August into September, building to the men's and women's finals on the closing weekend. Those marquee days sell out aircraft and FBO ramp space across the New York area quickly. We recommend reserving four to eight weeks ahead, and earlier for the finals weekend, to lock in your aircraft, your preferred airport and your departure slot.

On the ground

Ramp to courtside, handled

The flight is only half the trip. We coordinate the ground side so the door-to-door experience is seamless on one of the busiest sports weeks in New York.

  • Private transfers. A car or SUV meets you on the ramp and drives you straight to Flushing Meadows, then back to the FBO after your session.
  • Timed to the match. We plan transfers around match start times and the post-match crowd so you are not stuck in venue traffic when you want to fly home.
  • Catering & cabin requests. Pre-loaded catering, pets, extra luggage and privacy preferences are all arranged in advance with your trip.
  • One point of contact. Our team manages the flight, the FBO and the ground plan together, available around the clock from our New York office at 420 Lexington Ave.

FAQs

Private jet to the US Open: common questions

Which airport is best for a private jet to the US Open tennis championship?

Most charter clients fly into Teterboro (TEB) in New Jersey or Westchester County (HPN) in White Plains. Both have full-service FBOs and put you within a reasonable drive of Flushing Meadows in Queens, where the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center is located. JFK is closest to the venue geographically and can suit larger aircraft or international arrivals, but it is busy and slot-controlled. We match the airport to your aircraft, group size and ground plan.

When does the US Open take place and how far ahead should I book?

The US Open runs over roughly two weeks in late August into September each year, with the men's and women's finals on the closing weekend. For the busiest days, especially the finals weekend, we recommend reserving four to eight weeks out. Aircraft availability and FBO ramp and parking space around New York tighten quickly during the tournament, so earlier requests give you more and better options.

How many people can a private jet to the US Open carry?

It depends on the aircraft category. A light jet typically seats four to six passengers, a midsize or super-midsize jet seats seven to nine, and a heavy or large-cabin jet comfortably carries nine to fourteen or more. For a couple or a small group a light jet is efficient; for a corporate box or a larger party a midsize or heavy jet is usually the better fit. We size the aircraft to your group and luggage.

Can I fly in and out on the same day for a match?

Yes. Same-day round trips are one of the main reasons people charter for the US Open. You can arrive a few hours before play, watch your matches, and depart from the same FBO shortly after, often the same evening. Because you control the schedule, there is no fixed return time to race for. We coordinate ramp timing and ground transfers so the turnaround is smooth.

Does Private JetOne arrange ground transport from the FBO to Flushing Meadows?

Yes. We can arrange a private car or SUV to meet you on the ramp and take you directly to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, then return you to the FBO after your session. From Teterboro or Westchester the drive is typically 45 minutes to over an hour depending on traffic, so we plan transfers around match times. There are no membership fees and our team is available 24/7.
